Former QB among drug arrests at Amherst Co. HS
The former quarterback of Amherst County High School's state championship football teams is among six former and current Amherst County High School students who were arrested this morning for allegedly distributing marijuana and other drugs at school. Peter Rose has committed to play for Virginia Tech next year on a scholarship. Former Lancers' baseball player Jody Ramsey is also charged, while the other four are juveniles. The arrests are the result of a 10-month investigation by an undercover female sheriff's deputy who's been posing as a senior at the high school. The investigation started after complaints from students, parents and teachers about drug sales and distribution by students.
